Dr. Pimple Popper, a.k.a. Los Angeles-based dermatologist Sandra Lee, has brought us so many delicious (er, utterly disgusting) pops over the years, includingenlarged cysts,deep-rooted blackheads, and eveninflamed whiteheads. But this, her latest extraction video featuring a 22-year-old man with Steatocystoma Multiplex, may just be her most wild one yet. Popaholics, are you ready for this jelly?
In the video, we're introduced to a young man with covered in what appears to be hundreds of lumps and bumps — from head to toe — which appear to be swelling from the inside out of his body. According to Lee, his skin condition is referred to as Steatocystoma Multiplex.
"Steatocystoma Multiplex appear as multiple, uniform, yellow, cystic papules usually [two to six millimeters] in diameter, located especially on the upper anterior trunk, upper arms, axillae, and thighs," explains Lee in thevideo's caption. "Steatocystomas typically contain a syrup-like, yellowish, odorless, oily material. If they are inflamed or infected by bacteria, they can develop a foul odor and can be a definite source of social isolation."
And if you hadn't already guessed, the best-advised treatment is removal, using "small incisions and extraction with care," says Lee, which is what you'll see in the almost 24-minute clip. "It's like butter coming out," Lee says, describing the creamy, yellow fluid seeping from the man's wounds. (Are you nauseous yet?)
